MT-Biomethan GmbH is based in the town of Zeven in Lower Saxony, Germany. The company offers a complete range of biogas processing and feeding technology. The processing plants work according to the unpressurised amine scrubbing process. The biogas is refined to natural gas quality and then fed into the general natural gas grid. The processing procedure is characterised by an extremely low methane loss of less than 0.1 percent while yielding very high methane purity levels of at least 99 percent.
MT-Biomethan employs approx. 80 highly specialised engineers, mechanics and other skilled staff. The plants are being produced at the Zeven site using three parallel production lines. Our services employ the excellent structures of our affiliate MT-Energie.
We place special importance on the ISO conformity and continuous development of our processes. In 2011 our entire organisation has been audited for the third year in a row by TÜV-Rheinland and certified according to ISO 9001. Furthermore the company operates a qualified welding business according to EN ISO 3834-3.
In 2010 MT-Biomethan GmbH made an overall turnover of 14 million Euros. Last year, a total of eight gas processing plants were commissioned. One of our company milestones was the purchase of patent rights for processing technology from DGE GmbH, a technology company based in Wittenberg, Germany. In 2011 we plan to realise a total of 15 gas processing plants. This should result in a significant increase of our turnover to approx. EUR 25m.
